So I suppose the old adage less is more is true. if you get hay and silage to 46% its a red bar. And that was why it was not coming up with what I thought was the perfect ratio's seems who ever decided on the ratio's made a calculation mistake. my second load I fine tuned it a bit and got the ratio to 45/45/4 still not 100% but if you go for 100% you get all red bars. Oddly enough if you follow what it say and get straw to 20% as it says you never get power food it gives you a red bar showing 50%.
ended up with 43/40/8 and gave me all green bars with in the arrows. started out with 5 bails of hay 1 bale of straw and 11k silage. best I could get out of it was 73% production. I got stuck I used the siloking self propelled and I could not even get close to power food. I Finally figured out what the ratios are on the TMR, and you know what its totally wacked, off, I was looking at 60% base food, 40% Power food, now if you follow that you dont' end up with anything near enough to make cow power food.
